If you intend to set up and run a website, you might think that all you need is a domain name and a few templates. However, there is more to it than that and a web hosting tutorial will tell you everything you need to know. The truth is that hosting a web site can be a very complex business and the more you know about it the better. Therefore it really is in your best interest to do a web hosting tutorial in order to know exactly what you are getting yourself into and how to get out of any sticky situations.
There are number of variables that must be considered when hosting a web site and a web hosting tutorial will make sure that you are aware of the major ones. It is important to know, after all, exactly how the internet works, for a start. After all, if you don’t know what the possible causes of a problem are, you could be looking in entirely the wrong place for the solution. A web hosting tutorial will also make sure that you are aware of the basic expenses associated with your endeavour. Hosting a web site requires a server, and the licences for server use of software programs are a lot higher than for individual usage.
A good web hosting tutorial will also fill you in on the basic hardware that you will need in order to host a web site properly and you can bet that this will need to be rather more comprehensive than what you need to surf the net. The web hosting tutorial will tell you about the various options available to you when it comes to servers and the pros and cons of each. The different solutions vary hugely in terms of cost so it is very handy to know what you need before you go shopping, as it were.
A web hosting tutorial will also tell you what you need to have provided by your internet service provider in order to have the most secure and reliable platform from which to host your web site. The services provided by different companies can also vary enormously so you need to do your research before going with any particular service provider, otherwise your choice could cost you a lot in terms of lost business further down the line.
A web hosting tutorial will also make you aware of the myriad other considerations that you absolutely must look into and think about when thinking of setting up and running your own web site. There are so many things to think about and many of them will probably never have occurred to you unless you have prior knowledge and/or experience of web hosting. This is why a web hosting tutorial is so important – it could really save you some expensive life lessons further down the line, not to mention a lot of time and energy in the setting up process in the first place. You simply cannot overestimate the importance of a web hosting tutorial in setting up your own web site.

Hi,
It depends what kind of site you are making. If you are making the simplest kind of site, just some static html pages then there is no need to purchase web hosting first, you will be able to view your site fine just in a web browser locally.
However if you are using any features such as MySQL databases, PHP, etc. then you will need a hosting account to be able to actually view your site properly.
Hope that helps!
Regards,
Darryl

You can do it with Dreamweaver or Notepad – since it's all text.
You'll need a sign-up page and the code behind it, and a login page and the code behind it. It's FAR too much code to post here.
You first need to know whether you're on a Windows server (ASP and MSSQL) or a Linux box (PHP and MySQL) – GoDaddy offers both and it was your choice when you signed up.
Then either look for a CMS with login and read the code to see how it's done, or do a web search for web login systems. (You WILL have to understand either ASP or PHP, SQL and, possibly, Javascript. You CAN NOT create a system like this with drag&drop and clicking buttons.)
Your only other option (other than having someone write it for you) is to look at CMS programs, and see if you can use one of them. There are running demos of free ASP and PHP CMS programs at http://opensourcecms.com/

You plug them into the tagger, put them on, line up the tube so you can look down it using the mirror, and that’s it! You should be able to hear the sounds and see the flashing icons.
Then, take it off because it’s uncomfortable and never use them again. No one I know uses them.
