NEW MW2 MAP PACK GAME **NOT OUT YET** GAMEPLAY MUST WATCH!!!

As web technologies continue evolving each day, new information keeps coming out in the limelight but not all web designers get to know about it. This is due to lack of comprehensive coverage of the subject on the internet where one can get concise and up to date information without having to jump between the many different web Tutorial portals offering bits to their readers.
This article seeks to highlight issues to address in development of a wed design tutorial portal or for any other topic on the internet.
1. Design – The design and layout of the information should be void of complicated link overlaps; this reduces the user getting lost when following a particular link. The layout should also be simple and attractive to the eye, avoid dull colors on your pages and unnecessary graphics that may clog your page and increase delays during loading.
2. Informational Flow -A flow chart can help to depict the organization of the web pages in your web tutorial portal, a well thought table of content with links to the relevant related articles and pages will help the user to easily spot and follow their link of interest without getting lost in between. This applies to each article too, structuring it to have a heading where you introduce the topic, body where you discuss in length and conclusion helps the user understand the topic in a systematic manner.
3. Consice content –The content in the tutorials should be to the point, no one likes reading loads of pages to get to the point, A simple and detailed article can drive the point home other than long and often repeating essays most people write for tutorial.
3. Up to date Information –The information published on the web tutorial portal should be updated and new ones added periodically, This shows the users that they are on an informative site offering current and new information. Its advisable to display newer articles for repeated users and allow new users browse for topics they want in the portal.
4. Relevance –The content in the web tutorial should be relevant to the needs of users. It should meet the needs of your visitors. This is the hardest part but allowing user feedback and feedback is a way to gauge satisfaction to your web portal users. Try also targeting specialized groups it gets easy to serve them other than being diverse in your content.
5. Allow for comments from users and readers –Know what the users think about your articles learn their expectations and bond with them. Comments can help you determine effectiveness of your tutorials.
6.Accept users contribution –This will allow users raise their concerns and views that can help you improve the quality of your tutorials, Sharing of ideas with your users helps in addressing their diverse and sometimes personal experiences that forms the basic reason why your web tutorial portal gets more visitors and retains them.

Hi,
It depends what kind of site you are making. If you are making the simplest kind of site, just some static html pages then there is no need to purchase web hosting first, you will be able to view your site fine just in a web browser locally.
However if you are using any features such as MySQL databases, PHP, etc. then you will need a hosting account to be able to actually view your site properly.
Hope that helps!
Regards,
Darryl

You can get very nice & free templates from here: http://www.templatesbox.com
Look at the bottom, they are free templates you can download, they are HTML pages you can run by open in any browser (no need hosting)
To edit, you can try MS Visual Web Developer Express (free):

Or if you are good at HTML you can even use Notepad to open and change the HTML code.

You can do it with Dreamweaver or Notepad – since it's all text.
You'll need a sign-up page and the code behind it, and a login page and the code behind it. It's FAR too much code to post here.
You first need to know whether you're on a Windows server (ASP and MSSQL) or a Linux box (PHP and MySQL) – GoDaddy offers both and it was your choice when you signed up.
Then either look for a CMS with login and read the code to see how it's done, or do a web search for web login systems. (You WILL have to understand either ASP or PHP, SQL and, possibly, Javascript. You CAN NOT create a system like this with drag&drop and clicking buttons.)
Your only other option (other than having someone write it for you) is to look at CMS programs, and see if you can use one of them. There are running demos of free ASP and PHP CMS programs at http://opensourcecms.com/
